ISSS' international student advisors are experienced in advising students from all over the world. If you have a problem or a question that may impact your immigration status, please ask! Advisors may have resolved a similar issue before. We highly recommend that before meeting an advisor, you review our website thoroughly so that you may find your answer. The services are for F-1 students. Individuals holding a J-1 visa will need to reach out to our J-1 Scholar Team.

Consider attending a walk-in session first and the advisor will help determine if an appointment is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

We ask that you refrain from asking about your requests and for it to be expedited. It is a first come first serve basis for requests and it will be unfair for other students who submitted it well in advance.

We ask that you come during our walk-in advising sessions. Please refer to our Walk-In Advising Page for more details.

Check out our Student Advising Page and click on "Schedule An Appointment". There you will choose a virtual or phone appointment. Appointments are only 30 minutes long.

You are welcome to come in with prepared questions. The advisor will determine if an appointment is needed.

This will not be an option for Walk-Ins, we ask that you come to campus to meet with an advisor during our Walk-In Sessions or attend our Virtual Walk-In Advising instead.
