The Authorized Early Withdrawal Request should be used when you need to return to your home country unexpectedly, for an extended period of time and cannot complete your program of study. The Authorized Early Withdrawal is not intended to allow time off from classes while you remain in the US, and should not be requested immediately after a vacation semester is completed.
This form must be turned in during the first 15 days of the semester. Please note that You MUST apply for a new I-20 with a new SEVIS number from International Admissions to be re-admitted to the University and return to the US. If your travel plans change, it is YOUR responsibility to inform International Student & Scholar Services BEFORE you leave the country.
