Health Insurance through the University
The University Health Care Plus (UHCP) Advantage and Comprehensive plans meet the Department of State’s insurance requirements when paired with Travel Assistance through Europ Assistance USA. The cost of Travel Assistance through Europ Assistance USA is $10 USD per year. This policy is a supplemental insurance product. It will cover the J-1 Exchange Visitor and any registered J-2 dependents. J-1 Exchange Visitors whose programs are sponsored by the University are eligible for this supplemental plan.
The UHCP Advantage and Comprehensive plans are available to benefitted employees and unpaid affiliates, though the prices vary greatly depending on benefits eligible status.
